On 13 March 2026, a one-night educational camping trip was organised for the 6th Semester
English and Psychology Major students at Falcon Creek Resort in Doyang. The purpose of the
excursion was to provide students with an opportunity to engage in learning beyond the
conventional classroom environment while encouraging interaction, collaboration, and
appreciation of the natural surroundings. Eight students, accompanied by two faculty members,
Ms Akumyala and Ms A. Ajungla Jamir travelled to the site and spent the evening engaging in
group interactions and informal discussions. The serene environment of the resort created a
relaxed atmosphere that allowed students to interact freely with one another and with their
teachers, thereby strengthening academic and interpersonal relationships.
During the course of the evening, students participated in recreational and reflective activities
such as nature walks, conversations, and cultural interaction around a campfire. These moments
encouraged camaraderie among the students and also provided opportunities for intellectual
exchange between the English and Psychology majors. The experience allowed students to
appreciate the natural landscape while simultaneously reflecting on themes of community,
cooperation, and social interaction. The trip was conducted in a disciplined and organised
manner, and the students displayed responsible behaviour throughout the excursion. Overall, the
camping trip proved to be a meaningful and enriching experience that contributed positively to
the students’ personal growth and collective learning.
