Student Induction Programme Held at Jubilee Memorial College

Mokokchung, June 4, 2026: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Jubilee Memorial College, organised the Student Induction Programme 2026 at the JMC Hall to welcome newly admitted students and familiarise them with the academic environment, values, and opportunities available at the institution.

The programme commenced with an invocation by Ms. Livi Awomi, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, followed by a keynote address by the Principal, Dr. Imtiwati Jamir. In his welcome address, he extended a warm welcome to the new students and encouraged them to make the most of their college experience through dedication, curiosity, and active participation in both academic and co-curricular activities. He also provided an overview of the courses offered by the college, explained the credit-based grading system, and informed students about the Student Welfare Fund available to deserving beneficiaries.

The induction programme featured several informative sessions. Ms. Alemjungla, Assistant Professor, Department of History, presented the College Code of Conduct, while Mr. John Diengdoh, Office Assistant, delivered a session on digital transactions. Ms. Tsungrosenla Jamir, Assistant Professor, Department of English, introduced the various skill-based and add-on courses offered by the institution to enhance students’ academic and professional competencies.

The second session included motivational talks under the theme “My Academic Journey.” Mr. Bendangsunep Ani, Convenor of JMCSU, and Ms. Aochila Allen Amer (Batch of 2023), who recently cleared the NSSB Examination, shared their personal experiences and academic journeys, inspiring students to remain focused, resilient, and committed to their goals.

A special session titled “Nurturing Growth and Transformation” was conducted by Mr. Yimnayanger, Counsellor, who highlighted the importance of personal growth, emotional well-being, and mental health in achieving academic success and holistic development.

The programme concluded with the Lord’s Prayer. The event was hosted by Dr. Shisachila Imchen, Assistant Professor, Department of History.
