On the occasion of World Heritage Day 2026, the Department of History on 18th April,2026 came together to reflect on identity, culture, and continuity through the theme “Between Faith and Ancestry: Negotiating Indigenous Identity in Christian Naga Society.”As part of the observance, an essay competition was held on 15th April, inviting students to thoughtfully engage with the complexities of heritage and belief. The submissions reflected depth, honesty, and a strong sense of cultural awareness.🏆 1st Position – Nikili (2nd Semester)🥈 2nd Position – Menangniba (4th Semester)The programme concluded with the presentation of acclaimed essays, celebrating not just winners, but voices that contribute to preserving and rethinking our shared heritage.
