The 12 Assam Rifles in Mokokchung organised a Mega Millet Festival on 8th February 2025 which aimed at promoting millet cultivation and raising awareness about its nutritional and economic benefits. The initiative was part of a larger effort to promote sustainable agriculture, enhance local food security and provide a platform for showcasing the versatility of millets.
Jubilee Memorial College was invited to the event and the students actively participated at the event and got to learn about the importance of nutritional and economic benefits of millets.The festival featured a wide range of activities and presentations showcasing the importance of millets which included Millet exhibition, Millet-based food exhibition which were also served to attendees, offering them the opportunity to taste the nutritious and versatile food as well as Cultural Performances featuring traditional Ao Naga music and dance.
