Following the implementation of the Four Year Under Graduate Program (FYUGP) in 2023, the following categories of subjects/papers are offered in the College
- Major: equivalent to Honours in the previous system, now being phased out
- Minor: which is similar to the General Papers/Subjects of the previous system. However, unlike the previous system, the students can change the Minor from semester to semester.
- (MDC/IDC) Multidisciplinary/Interdisciplinary Course : EVS and others
- (AEC) Ability Enhancement Course: English and MIL
- (SEC) Skill Enhancement Course: Different courses are offered in different semesters.
A student who completes 3 years of study will be awarded the BA with Major degree. On completion of 4 years of study, the student will be awarded the BA with Honours degree.
The College offers Major in the following subjects.
- Economics
- English
- History
- Political Science
- Psychology
- Sociology
The following subjects are offered as Minor papers in all semesters. The Minor subject/paper should not be the same as the Major.
- Economics
- English
- History
- Political Science
- Psychology
- Sociology
A student can change/select the Minor in the different semesters.
In addition to the above two categories, the College offers the following courses which form a part of the University Curriculum.
- MultiDisciplinary/Interdisciplinary Course (IDC): EVS is offered in Semester 1
- Ability Enhancement Course (AEC): English is offered in Semester 1
- Skill Enhancement Course (SEC): In BA 1, SECs are offered in
a. Political Science (Legislative Support)
b. Psychology (Stress Management)
c. Sociology (Reading Writing and Reasoning for Sociology)
These papers vary from semester to semester and a student is free to choose any option. The student will be given to select the SEC paper after admission.
Add-on Courses
Over and above the University courses, the College offers the following professional Certificate Courses in various Skills for the Session 2024-25 for interested students
- Diploma in Computer Applications (DCA)
- Certificate Course in Cutting and Tailoring
- Certificate Course in Domestic Electrician Skills
- Basic Music Theory and SIght Reading (Free Course)
A minimum number of students need to be enrolled before these courses can be offered as some of these are paid courses offered by professional agencies.
