JMC’s History

Established in 2015 by the Mokokchung Town Baptist Church (MTBA) to commemorate its Platinum Jubilee in 2012, the College is an integral part of the Church’s mission: to provide holistic, quality education to students at the College as well as at the School level.

The educational activities of the Church come under the aegis of the MTBA Education Trust, a registered non-profit society that was set up to look after all educational institutions under the MTBA. The College currently offers Bachelor of Arts (General and Honours Courses) but in due course of time, other streams of study will be added.

Vision

The College will be an influential agency in the field of education, focusing on inter-cultural, inter-disciplinary and integrative teaching and learning that offers every student a life orienting opportunity, embedded in core moral values.

Mission

Jubilee Memorial College is dedicated to the development of informed, articulate, sensitive, responsible citizens. It seeks to integrate moral values with educational, social and professional life and strives to foster personal, intellectual, spiritual and social development in every person.
